Family travel destinations are places that are ideal for both parents and kids, for children from infants to teens. Here is a list of the best family travel destinations.

For a family travel destination to be well suited for vacations with kids, it should have many activities that are enjoyable across the age spectrum. It should also be a place where there is much to do, and where the locals are friendly and helpful.

Santa Claus, Indiana

This town features the only post office in the world with the Santa Claus name, sure to impress little fans of Father Christmas. The town initially proposed the name Santa Fe to the U.S. Postal Service before that was rejected and they settled on Santa Claus in the 1800s. The town even has a statue of Santa Claus, erected in 1935 in honor of children.

Brasstown Valley, Georgia

This region of the mountains of Georgia features a lovely state-owned resort. Brasstown Valley Resort is family-friendly resort in the Georgia mountains that was green before green was cool. The kids can enjoy horseback riding, hiking and more.

Spain's Costa Brava

Spain's Costa Brava provides stunning views as the Mediterranean waves clash with the jagged coastline. It's a perfect family getaway with beaches, art and fine food.
