There's been much excitement over the new Seven Wonders of the World list, but that list isn't made from a kid's perspective. Here are the Seven Wonders of Family Travel.

1 - Disneyworld

This attraction may not be about culture or rich history, but there's no getting around it: this is the Mecca of family travel. Every child's dream is to visit Disneyworld, and it's the ultimate kid-pleasing vacation (even if it is hard on the wallet).

2 - Smithsonian

Some of the world's best museums for kids are part of the Smithsonian museums in Washington, D.C., including the too-fun Air & Space Museum, the National Zoo and the National Museum of Natural History. Best of all, families get into the museums for free!

3 - Dig

Kids love digging in the dirt. In fact, any parents who grew up watching the Indiana Jones movies think archeology is pretty cool, too. Dig, located in York, U.K., allows even its little visitors to take part in an excavation.

4 - Niagara Falls

There's something so amazing about seeing Niagara Falls, and children can't help but be impressed by its wonder. A visit to Niagara Falls is also fun for the kids who will not soon forget a Journey Behind the Falls tour or a ride on the Maid of the Mist.

5 - Eiffel Tower

This site is on the list of official nominated new Seven Wonders of the World, but it's also a great family attraction. It's the most popular attraction in France, one of the most popular countries for travel, for a reason. This wonder of architecture will wow kids, and it's in a city packed with great family attractions.

6 - Grand Canyon

Children don't often get a chance to see nature in all its impressive glory like they experience visiting the Grand Canyon. It is the biggest chasm in the world, and the views are something the children will tell their own children about years later. If you visit, be sure to let the kids have their own disposable camera to capture memories like a grown up.

7 - Sagrada Familia

There are many hundreds of stunning cathedrals in the world to visit, but none as unique as Barcelona's Sagrada Familia. This Moderniste structure, still under construction after more than a century. What will thrill the kids and parents is its unique, almost dream-like and surrealistic, design. It is unlike any other structure on earth.
