Travel Company Family Poll Results

Although there were five choices of varying degrees, nearly all the votes went either to choices stating companies don't do enough or that the voter had mixed feelings about it. If you have had a bad experience, be sure you write a complaint letter to the company.

Here is the breakdown of the voting for the poll question, "Do you think travel-related businesses are family-friendly enough? Do you feel airlines, cruise lines, hotels, restaurants and destinations in general do what they should to make life easier on families?"

• "Not even close! Do these people even HAVE kids?" brought in 15 percent of the vote. With so many families out there, and so much disposable income, this is a huge chunk of people who are left unsatisfied.
• "Not really. It's almost like they don't think about it" attracted the most votes with 38 percent of respondents choosing this option.
• "I'm not sure. Some do, some don't" was selected by 23 percent of voters.
• "Yes. Lots of destinations and companies are coming around" did attract 23 percent of the vote, so there is a segment of the traveling public that is relatively satisfied.
• "Absolutely! Most travel outfits are super family-friendly!" didn't get a single vote. This is not good news for travel companies.
