In response to priceline scam posted by kquick007:

I too was scammed by PRICELINE. Though some may argue Buyer Beware and that I made a foolish mistake, I think they use their ads, website and other tactics to lure and scam potential users.

WORDS OF ADVICE: DON'T GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION UNLESS YOU ARE CERTAIN YOU LIKE WHAT YOU SEE.

Here's my story:
My wife an I were interested in a package deal to get airfare, hotel and rental car to visit San Francisco. I had been looking at PRICELINE ads on TV and decided to give them a try (in retrospect I could have done better with Orbitz or setting up the whole thing myself). I had been looking at a particular package on a Friday night but couldn't figure out where I got to choose the flight. I left the computer and restarted in the morning, only when I sat down, on the screen was a listing of flights. I decide to pick up where I left off and book one I liked. Well, it started me over as if I had been idle (the whole night had gone by) and so I thought I'll just keep going thinking I would eventually get to choose my flight. Well, next thing I know I'm putting in my credit card information and I never got to choose my flights. Next thing I know I'm stuck with a flight I can't possibly make leaving on a Friday morning at 0600, returning on Sunday leaving SF at 0700. RIDICULOUS!!! I called and spoke with some representative who was completely unhelpful. I should have known when the automated voice told me before I spoke with her that I would not get to change anything of the itinerary. This also told me that they must have this problem ALL THE TIME for them to have to put a message about this nearly everywhere in their phone tree.

BOTTOM LINE, PRICELINE tolerates NO mistakes which is reason enough to NOT USE THEM. I had made a similar mistake with ORBITZ before and they were awesome in helping me change my flight.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!
