» loular - Priceline is A TOTAL RIP OFF, SCAM, WASTE OF MONEY
In response to priceline scam posted by caryjw:
Let me put in the following tags for future possible users of Priceline.
"Priceline sucks."
"Priceline is a rip-off."
"Priceline will take your money and leave you high and dry and you won't have a leg to stand on."
"Priceline took my money, took my cancelation info, gave me a case ID # and still proceed to drop my money in their bank cash in on my services that could not be completed to a snow cancellation in a major airport (thus could not pickup car I previously rented because airport not open. Cancelled properly with Priceline. Even cancelled with airport rental agency I was scheduled to pick up at. I was told by Avis they had no control over updating any records or helping me at all. Priceline sounded bored and bitchy and told me that they would only consider a refund for services yet to be rendered, even though I was cancelling before the pick up date, until -- after 10 days AFTER the scheduled date of DROP OFF." So, they get to sit on my processed payment from when I first booked the travel which was in Sept. 07. For the record I was supposed to rent a car through them Dec. 16 - Jan. 1 2008. I waited till Jan. 10th 2008. NO REFUND. I called the customer service # (LOL) and offered up my "Case #" from last month. I was told they "really didn't think they needed my case number."
It is now January 29th 2008. They have my $675.22 and today when I spoke again to customer service at Priceline. I was told that they would email my info on to yet another place where I would be placed in line for having my "case reviewed" about whether or not someone my name really did or did not rent my car that day as scheduled. It may take up to 10 business days for them to let me know how THAT part of the process is going.
THIS IS B.S. And this company should be held accountable for ripping US customers off.
I WANT INTEREST ON MY PAYMENT TO THEM.
I WANT TO SUE THEM IN COURT FOR FALSE CLAIMS AND FOR ALL THE STRESS AND INCONVENIENCE THEY CAUSED US.
If you care about your money, DO NOT USE PRICELINE.
All it takes for one, tiny glitch in your travel itenary for YOU to OUT hundreds of dollars!
I'm serious. And I'm going to spread the word ASAP.
